Guishan temple and the World's largest Prayer wheel

Guishan Temple is one of the most important and revered Buddhist temples located in Shangri-La, Yunnan, China. This temple holds significant religious, cultural, and historical value in the region, especially among the Tibetan community.

Guishan Temple is situated in the heart of Dukezong Ancient Town, the temple was built during the Ming Dynasty and has since served as a vital center for Tibetan Buddhism in the region.

The World's largest Prayer wheel approximately 21 meters tall and has a diameter of 5 meters, making it the largest prayer wheel in the world. It is made of gilded brass and features intricate designs and carvings, including Tibetan script, auspicious symbols, and images of Buddha. The massive structure weighs several tons, requiring multiple people to turn it.
